“This mentality is dragged to the last point of liberation when the living entity wants to become one with the Lord. This is the last snare of maya, or sense gratificatory illusion, and it is only after many, many births of such sense gratificatory activities that a great soul surrenders unto Vasudeva, Lord Krsna, thereby fulfilling the search after the ultimate truth.” Bg 2.39
Any sincerely devoted disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada once or twice crossed his mind with the question: ”what would Srila Prabhupada would say today about his movement, his disciples, with whom should be associate, who’s association should we avoid and etc… ”
Despite Srila Prabhupada evidential information from the scriptures and his personal examples, in devotional circles the answers to those questions remain unclear and sometimes the answers even differ.
Here in this compilation from the teachings of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, the compiler of this present addition His Grace Sriman Purujit Prabhu, brings a complete view on the last snare of Maya summery, how one can fall down from the top most position in practice of Bhakti and is authoritatively, lucidly brought directly from the lotus mouth of our beloved spiritual master namely, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
So many issues and sub issues which devotees all around the plant are facing now, harassment from the public, fall downs, lack of enthusiasm, man power, founds, corporation between different camps and etc.
Even a new person who is aspiring to learn about the science of Krishna Consciousness in theory and practice will have to face all those enumerable difficulties which are all sprouting from the same issue:
offence to the pure devotee of Lord Krishna.
There are many offences we should avoid by chanting but the most curtail is when one commits an offence to the spiritual master and his sincere followers:
“To blaspheme the devotees who have dedicated their lives for propagating the holy name of the Lord.”
“To disobey the orders of the spiritual master.”
“To commit sinful activities on the strength of the holy name of the Lord.” NoD 8: Offenses to Be Avoided
If we keep consciously or unconsciously committing especially these three offences mentioned above we will not be able to chant and the stringent laws of Maya will cut us down in every step of the so called preaching or propagating of Krishna Consciousness we might aspire for. Why? Because Bhakti-Yoga which is preformed whimsically is nothing but disturbance to society and what to speak about the spiritual society: "Devotional service performed without reference to the Vedas, Puranas, Pancaratras, etc., must be considered sentimentalism, and it causes nothing but disturbance to society."Adi 7.102
And how can we learn how the scriptures without approaching a bona fide spiritual master if even Lord Krishna Him self declares in the Bhagavad-Gita : 4.34
How we approach is stated in the same sloka , by service. Unless service is done with service attitude it will not be accepted
We should all take precaution not to commit the same mistakes and offences to Srila Prabhupada’s lotus feet over and over again and there by continuing chanting the holy name offensively. There is no better help we can get but from Srila Prabhupada himself in this regard and this wonderful completion puts everything in contrasts, so why not to advantage and save or self from another fall down?
